New Internet Control and Digital Products at AES

March 2001

The 110th AES Convention in Amsterdam this May will see the European launch of new Internet Control and Digital products from Audionics, the UK manufacturer of professional audio products.

A new digital product on display will be the MCX3 Digital Audio Router. The MCX3 is a 32x16 AES/EBU digital router which can provide a cost effective solution for the control of multiple digital audio feeds in many applications. It can be extensively customised and has a wide range of remote and PC control options. The MCX3 can be controlled via TCP/IP protocol enabling worldwide control with a standard web browser.

The continued expansion of Internet usage in broadcasting is reflected in three new additions. The eMonitor provides remote monitoring of a broadcast facility via a standard web browser. A PC's RS232 port can now control remote equipment via LAN/WAN or the Internet, by using the new handy eXtender modules. Finally the Network Interface Module now brings web browser IP control to Audionics routing products.
