Remote Monitoring at AES with the Audionics eMonitor

March 2001

A new product from Audionics at this year's 110th AES exhibition is the eMonitor remote system monitor.

This 1U, rackmounted, device will enable monitoring of a broadcast installation from a standard web browser, greatly assisting fault finding and rapid restoration of programme feeds.

Eight alarm inputs and eight analogue audio inputs are continuously monitored and the status shown via an embedded web server. The unit can be programmed to send an email when a fault occurs and, if required, switch one of the eight stereo analogue feeds to an alternative source.

The user can also switch the status of the outputs from a web browser, providing a means of remote transmission switching or simple control applications.

The web server has password protected user access and comprehensive visitor and event logging.
