Metro FM, in Gateshead and TFM in Stockton are refurbishing studios and each has placed an order with Audionics for a new broadcast console.

Audionics has a long working relationship with both radio stations which are owned by the EMAP Radio Group. In 1997 Audionics delivered four new mkIV studio systems to the same radio stations.

The new desks are being delivered in July so they can be commissioned and ready in time for the beginning of the football season. Custom modifications have been made to the desks to cope with the heavy sports coverage featuring on both radio stations.

Dave Elliott, Chief Engineer at Metro FM, said "We chose Audionics over the competition because their flexible approach to our requirements is very refreshing and their equipment is reliable with good longevity."
