Audionics Launch New Products at SBES 2002

November 2002

The 27th SBES exhibition in November, will see the UK launch of a new addition to the Audionics portfolio of digital audio products.

The MR81D digital combiner is an 8 into 1 AES/EBU mixer housed in a 1U rackmount case. The unit offers a simple solution for combining up to eight digital audio feeds to one output. Features include:

  • Transformer balanced inputs and outputs
  • Inputs can be removed from the mixing bus by means of external closing contact input
  • Output gain attenuation of –10dB in 1db steps
  • All inputs are sample rate converted to one of three reference signals; external AES reference, external word clock or internal 48kHz clock.
  • Front panel status indication of all inputs and clock sources.

The MR81D has been designed to provide the user with a method of mixing several digital audio sources. Applications include cue feed mixing, the combining of outputs from several digital audio feeds, or the mix down of multiple computer assisted machines to one digital audio output.
