Satellite Information Services, the London based supplier of mobile satellite uplinks worldwide and horse racing TV coverage to Betting Shops and The Racing Channel, have recently taken delivery of a custom built monitor matrix from Audionics.

The system will be used in their North London headquarters to monitor the large number of incoming sources from their fleet of OB vehicles. Sixteen control panels have been installed in production galleries and voice over booths, enabling operators to mix together several sources to headphones and local speakers.

Audionics had supplied the original monitoring system over ten years ago and although this is still performing reliably the new system was ordered as part of SIS's routine replacement policy.

Peter Fuller, Projects Supervisor, at SIS said "We came back to Audionics because we needed a custom design, and we were confident in the quality and reliability of the Audionics product. We also found Audionics take an extremely flexible approach to our specific needs, and they incorporated at least two design changes at the planning stage with apparent ease."
