| Description | |||
| The Audionics Com2000 Talkback System, available in both 8 and 16 way versions, is based around a central 1U, 19", rackmounted talkback matrix, with a choice of three different controller types. Controllers are connected to the talkback matrix via standard Cat5 data cabling, simplifying installation in both new and existing systems. An optional software package provides powerful facilities, for more complicated installations. | |||
| Talkback Matrix | |||
| The talkback matrix station is a 1U, 19", rackmounted case, with integral power supply. The talkback matrix can be ordered as either an 8 way or 16 way system. Front panel RJ45 connectors are used to connect the talkback matrix to the remote controllers, which are powered from the talkback matrix. | |||
| Controllers | |||
| The controllers have three modes of operation, controlled by a three position toggle switch. The first is simple talk to destination, by pressing and holding the relevant switch. With the toggle switch in the central position, several destinations can be selected by momentarily pressing the switches, (selected destination switches are illuminated at half brightness), the toggle switch is then used to talk to all the destinations selected. In this mode individual destinations can still be talked to by pressing and holding the relevant switch. If the toggle switch is modified to have a latched 'down' position, a further mode is provided where momentarily pressing a switch provides latched talkback, or continuously holding the switch provides talk whilst depressed. | |||
| Outside Source Interface | |||
| The talkback system also allows direct connection to outside sources, an audio cue signal can be routed to each output which is overridden by the outgoing talkback signal. | |||
