| The AES silence detection system is based around silence detector cards, which have programmable fail level, time to fail and time to restore.The card also has an auto changeover to a backup AES source. | |||

| Inputs: | Each channel has main and backup AES inputs, with optional sample rate converters. | ||
| Outputs: | Single AES output, with synchronous switching from main to backup | ||
| Time to Fail: | On board selectable 1 to 16 seconds in 1 second intervals. | ||
| Fail Level: | On board selectable -35dBFS, -50dBFS, - 65dBFS or -80dBFS | ||
| Time to Restore: | On board selectable 5 to 20 seconds in 5 second intervals. | ||
| Status Indicators: | Front or remote panel LEDs show if main or backup source is routed to output. A visual and audible alarm is given if the source changes from main to backup. | ||
